Blogging for Patry
I’m still good! It’s only 10:20PM PST! I’ve got an hour and forty minutes until it’s no longer Liar’s Diary Blog Day…
Here’s the scoop, in case you haven’t heard: author Patry Francis has been having health problems that prevent her from going out and promoting her new novel, The Liar’s Diary. Being chronically ill is one of the most exhausting things that can happen to a person, so her book shouldn’t have to suffer on top of it all. It’s gotten great reviews and I urge you all to pick up a copy. I haven’t read it yet myself--I’m still slogging through the tribulations of Soames and Irene in The Forsyte Saga--but it’s on my short list.
Here’s hoping Patry gets well and keeps writing.

Hey, off topic but last night I went to a local place to rent movies and out of nowhere just saw your name on a book on the table, and picked it up. So yeah, I got Cairo, which I’m gonna read later today. Just from browsing though, it looks infinitely better than All Star Batman and Robin, which makes me re-iterate my point that you should totally try and knock Miller out of circulation.

Tell your local movie rental place I admire their taste in books.
Hope you like it--definitely ain’t All Star Batman, although I’m working on a miniseries for DC (shh) more along those lines.
