Going 2nd-Home
I’m off to Egypt for 2 weeks...it’s taken remarkably little to prepare for the trip, seeing as we’re really going home, or at least, to a home. Our apartment is just as we left it, full of the clothing, furniture and books we didn’t take with us. We know where everything in our neighborhood is and how it all works. It’s an odd feeling to be so grounded in two different continents--in one sense I can never go home, and in another I can never leave home.
There’s your philosophical nugget for the day.
Eid Mubarak to those of you celebrating Eid ul-Fitr, and Shana Tova to those of you celebrating Rosh Hashana.

I think being truly bi(or multi)national is amazing. Good luck on your trip. And I am totally looking forward to reading AIR and your work on Vixen.

OFF TOPIC, but I think you’ll find this interesting.
I just found out that a brazilian publisher named RECORD is planning to publish THE JEWEL OF MEDINA here in Brazil in 2009.
We have a very wide range of religions in Brazil, co-existing without any problems, and I think that is one of the reasons we won’t have a problem with the book here, but I’m watching the development of this closely. This religion tolerance is one of the feel things I’m proud of about my country, so let’s hope for it to remain the same now. I also hope that THE JEWEL OF MEDINA will do well down here and I’m really looking foward to read it and to be able to discuss it in depth.
Altough we’re a third world country with no real impact in the world, I’m really glad that this book will see the light of day here.

Dear Wilson, I wish to see you a great writer to do something good for the mankind.Your would be published book is really an excellant fiction mixed with history and documents. But if you mean it to be a history on Mohammad and Ayesha, please, for God’s sake edit it. Do not hurt people.Forgive their ignorance. But honour their sentiment and perception.
